Under the supervision of a designated supervisor, provides first level IT support for all of UITS services including computers, printers, smart devices, software and hardware, accounts, applications, networking, telecommunications. Performs initial triage of all problems, gathering all required information. Resolves any issues at first level when possible. Escalates to second level support when necessary.

Manager of Network Operations

Under the general direction of the CIO, provides advanced level technical expertise in support of the University’s voice, video, broadcast and data network systems. This position is responsible for leading the Network Operations staff who perform primary diagnostics, testing and trouble resolution, document installations and maintain networking systems for University Information Technology Services (UITS). Responsibilities include the overall management, direction, and day-to-day activities for the core, distribution and access tiers of the University network as well as the wireless and data center networks.

Information Systems Analyst II or III - IWMS

The analyst must possess strong organizational and technical skills. This position will provide information systems analysis and production support for UConn’s Integrated Workplace Management Software (IWMS) solutions.

Senior Network Engineer (Network Technician 3 or 4), UCP 9 or 11

Under the general direction of the CEN Director, provides advanced level technical expertise in support of the expansion of the Connecticut Education Network, a statewide IP over Ethernet optical network. Incumbents in this position are considered technical experts and are high level networking professionals. Individuals considered for this position must be highly independent and capable of understanding and evaluating complex networking interrelationships and complexities.
