This role is also responsible for establishing a set of defined control standards and improving UConn’s security controls through periodic assessments against the established standards and industry best practices.

Under the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer this individual is a key contributor to the development of UConn’s Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Program. This role will be responsible for managing projects designed to improve University compliance with industry regulations and University policy. A significant component of this role will be the administration of applications, hardware and processes designed to perform periodic assessments and enforce controls against the established standards and industry best practices.
